Meet the Artist
Hi there! I’m Shannon and I’m a faith based painter from the south. I traded in the corporate lifestyle for paint brushes and canvas years ago, and for the past decade I have been working from my studio near cotton fields, livestock, and peanut farms and just north of the breathtaking beaches of Northwest Florida. I love where I live and in my paintings I seek to tell the stories of faith, living in the South, and to inspire the viewer to cherish history of old churches, barns, and the beautiful nature around us. I use layer upon layer of palette knife texture that is reminiscent of old peeling barn paint with a muted palette mixed with a touch of the colors of the Gulf of Mexico.
